Thessaloniki
Tonight is my last night in Greece. We're getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to catch the train to Sofia, Bulgaria. It's only a 6 hour ride, so we'll see if we can continue straight away to Bucharest or if we'll have to spend a night in a hotel. Bulgaria seems a bit frightening. Apparently, I'm supposed to adamantly refuse any and all taxi offers from the airport or train station. Stories of purse snatchings, slashings, pickpocketing etc are everywhere. 'Course, this is what we'd read about India and we had absolutely no troubles of that sort there. We'll see what happens.

Salut de Provence (encore 24 hres). Bummer about the Greeks'adaptability to international finances. Vigilance, alors dans les pays de l'est, ex-SovBlock. La vie est très chère ici en France même en campagne, loin des grandes villes. Contents que la santé aille mieux.
