España

I´m now officially back in travel mode. After about 2 weeks of relaxing and being housed and fed by extremely generous people, Elise and I are back to living out of our backpacks and in surprisingly expensive but bare hotel rooms. Our first stop is Barcelona. Very cool. Lots of human "statues" busking on the Ramlas, Tapas bistros and interesting architecture. Indeed, ysterday, we visited the Sagrada Familia which is nothing more than a gigantic construction site containing the idea of a genius. Quite impressive. Today, we saw more genius at the the Dali Museum in Figuerres, 2 hours away from Barcelona by train. I thought the human mindcould only comfortably cope with so much Dali in one day, but I guess I was wrong. I could have spent a few more days among the crazyness. We still have a few days in Barcelona before heading out to Grenada and then to Sevilla. I read somewhere that if I die before seeing the Alhambra, I won´t really have lived at all. And apparently, Sevilla offers exciting bullfighting. I´ll be sure to comment on both.

Also,I´mtrying to catch as much Spanish as I can while I´m here. I asked Elise to speak to me only in Spanish inthe hotel room for the first week, and then to speak only in spanish the following week, but she´s finding my confused looks a bit exasperating.
